For your convenience, our Department of Health nurses will be offering the Flu Mist vaccine here at our school on NOVEMBER 5, 2026. Your student should have brought home consent forms and information Monday, August 24, 2026. The consent form, which includes a front and back page, must be completed and returned to the school by Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for your student to receive the Flu Mist vaccine on campus during our vaccine clinic.
This year, our health department will be administering the nasal Flu Mist vaccine to every age group of students. No student will receive a vaccine without a properly completed consent form.

Hello Berryhill families,
We had a fantastic first week back to school! It was wonderful seeing all of our Bears and Cubbies return and meeting so many new students and families.
Beginning Monday, we will start counting tardies. Any student who is not in their classroom by the time the tardy bell rings at 7:15 a.m. will be marked tardy. Please remember that every third tardy becomes an unexcused absence.
Additionally, every vehicle picking up a student during dismissal is required to have a car placard clearly displayed. Anyone without a placard will be required to park and enter the school with a government-issued photo ID. There will be no exceptions.
We appreciate your support and cooperation as we work together to ensure a safe and successful school year. Student safety remains our highest priority.

We are so excited to welcome our Berryhill Bears back for another wonderful school year! As we begin the first week, we ask for everyone’s patience and help as we get into our routines. Here are a few important reminders:
🚗 CAR RIDERS Please be patient in the car lines! Things may take a little longer during the first few days as students, families, and staff get familiar with the routines. We promise we are working hard to make drop off & dismissal as smooth and safe as possible. If your child needs extra assistance getting out of the vehicle, please park. Don't forget your pickup placard for afternoon pickup. If you do not have it then you must park and come inside with your id. Thank you for your patience! 💚
🏠 HOW IS YOUR CHILD GOING HOME? If you were unable to attend Open House, please make sure your child’s teacher knows how your child will be going home each day. This is especially important so we can make sure every child gets home safely.
🍎 LUNCH MONEY Please make sure your child has money in their lunch account. You can add funds and set up low-balance reminders through MySchoolBucks: 🌐 www.myschoolbucks.com

🚌 BUS RIDERS Please be at your child’s bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time. During the first couple of weeks, bus schedules may take a little time to settle into a routine. Afternoon drop-off times may also be a little later than expected as drivers and students get accustomed to their routes. You can track your child's bus with the My Ride K-12 app.
💚 KINDERGARTEN BUS RIDERS: An approved adult must be present at the bus stop to receive your kindergarten student. Thank you for helping us make the first week safe, smooth, and successful for everyone! We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we get this new school year rolling.

We're thrilled to share that Feeding the Gulf Coast will be bringing their mobile food pantry to Immanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, August 22nd at 8:00 am! This wonderful organization is dedicated to nourishing families in our community who need support, and we're grateful for their partnership with us throughout the school year. Together, we're able to send home nutritious food bags to families in our school community, making a real difference in their lives. Looking for something to keep your children engaged in reading all summer long? Participate in Berryhill's Find Your Reading Joy Summer Reading Challenge! The challenge begins June 1st and continues through July 31st. Your child will earn exciting badges as they log reading minutes, and if he/she earns all the badges to complete the challenge, he/she will earn a prize and a shoutout when we return to school in the fall!
